Robert Fokkens conducts the SA New Music Ensemble in a concert of South African new music including his piece, Amorphic Counsel performed by Liesl Stoltz (alto flute), Morne van Heerden (clarinet), Marguerite Spies (cello), and Frank Mallows (percussion).

Project Instrumental Premiere

The exciting new ensemble Project Instrumental will premiere a short new work for string trio and string ensemble in Oxford on 12 June. Marking the beginning of a larger collaboration with Project Instrumental, the piece is programmed alongside music by Joe Cutler, Shostakovich and Tchaikovsky.  

The trio part is played by the Zoltan Trio - Lowri Porter (violin, and music director of Project Instrumental), Nancy Johnson (viola) and Rosalind Gladstone (cello).
