There was much to enjoy – and to look forward to – with the addition of a real gem in the form of a world première from a composer closer to home: Cardiff-based Robert Fokkens’ charming and impeccably paced Worry/Don’t Worry, ‘a short meditation on concern’, which was performed with witty panache by the same duo.

Soprano Sarah Dacey and pianist Clare Hammond perform new songs at the gala opening event of the Vale of Glamorgan Festival 2014. The launch concert also introduces some of the composers and performers featured in the festival, including juice vocal ensemble, guitarist Stewart French,and Danish group Ensemble MidtVest.
