South African National Youth Orchestra at National Arts Festival

The South African National Youth Orchestra, conducted by internationally renowned conductor Gerard Korsten, give the second performance of Robert’s most recent orchestral work, commissioned by the SAMRO Foundation for SANYO.

South African National Youth Orchestra world premiere

The South African National Youth Orchestra, conducted by Gerard Korsten, give the world premiere of a substantial new orchestral work at the Feather Market Centre in Port Elizabeth. The work, commissioned by the SAMRO Foundation, will be performed alongside Dvorak’s 7th Symphony and Hindemith’s Symphonic Metamorphosis.

Publishing deal announced with Tetractys Publishing

Robert has signed a deal with flute specialist publisher Tetractys Publishing to publish three of his chamber works including Kingma-system quarter-tone alto and bass flutes. Two song on texts by Ibn al-Arabi (mezzo-soprano and bass flute), Tracing Lines (original single-movement work for alto flute and cello) and Inyoka Etshanini (Snake in the Grass -for alto or bass flute, violin and cello) are now available for purchase from the Tetractys online shop.
