Also noteworthy were a focused offering from David Fennessy, a laid-back, witty triptych from Joe Cutler, and a well-worked setting of David Diop’s poem Africa by Robert Fokkens, beautifully sung by Patricia Rozario.
The Austrian Cultural Forum presents a retrospective concert of works from their annual Soundings series which brings together composers based in Austria and the UK for performances, discussions and workshops. Music by Soundings composers Reinhard Fuchs, Elisabeth Harnik, Gerhard Krammer, Johannes Maria Staud, Joanna Wozny (Austria) and Ed Bennett, Joe Cutler, Robert Fokkens, David Fennessy, Emily Howard and Claudia Molitor (UK) will be presented, performed by the highly acclaimed performers Fidelio Trio (Darragh Morgan, Robin Michael and Mary Dullea), Adam Clifford, (percussion) Tom Lessels, (clarinet) Lore Lixenberg (mezzo –soprano) Patricia Rozario, (soprano) and Rowland Sutherland (flute).
