Cabaret du Néant

My piece, Four Colonisations, for soprano, clarinet and cello, is to be performed at this event:

Decadence, squalor, derangement and nihilism proliferate as Art is ambushed by urbanized, industrial society, causing composers to turn to social commentary.

A night of desperate satire, sensuous whimsy and bitter irony with Pulse, presenting songs, chansons, lieder and schläger by Satie, Schoenberg, Eisler, Weill, Cage, Hannan, Fokkens and Crane.

The Virtuoso Violin

Harriet Mackenzie and Oliver Coates premiere Tracing Lines for violin and cello in a concert presented by Court Lane Music at Covent Garden’s Rock Garden. Along with Simon Hewitt Jones, Thomas Hewitt Jones and David Worswick, they also perform music for strings by Bach, Sarasate, Crumb and Paganini.
